IT Strategy completed on time.

The third stage of our I.T. development strategy was completed recently with the successful installation of our new operations software.

The programme began during April 2004, when the first stage was to design and implement a new website, capable of bring real benefits to our customers while providing a high-level of control and flexibility for EFL International Distribution and SkanTrans Ireland. Thanks to our friends in Libertas Solutions Limited, the new website was developed on time.

During August, the second part of the strategy commenced specific to hardware requirements and the movement from Novell to SQL database. In October the new HP sql G3 server was installed and tested together with new storage systems. Special thanks to Colm Molloy of Computer Technology Services for all his hard work in making the transition as painless as possible

The final part of the current strategy was the testing of the new operational software, named Azyra, which began in October. The server and the new software were put through their paces until, during the second week in January 2005, the migration was completed successfully and all modules went “live”.
