Certification Body:
NSAI - The National Standards Authority of Ireland

NSAI operates a certification scheme based on the I.S. EN ISO 9000 standards, which deal with Quality Management Systems. Companies who have their quality management systems assessed by NSAI, and are found to comply with the relevant part of I.S. EN ISO 9000, and who submit to the requirements of the "Registered Firm" scheme, become companies of "Assessed Capability" in respect of their quality assurance.

NSAI operates on behalf of the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, for the publication of national standards and the provision of a comprehensive product and management system certification service. The governing board of NSAI is appointed by the Minister, and represents a cross-section of industrial and government interests.
